• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New to the Spyder world with 2013 ST Limited

Welcome from Western Pennsylvania. I also have an ST Limited. Hope you will enjoy riding it as much as I enjoy mine!

Looking to buy a 2013 ST

Welcome neighbor....I live in Gastonia, NC....Congrats on the new Spyder...I'm jealous....I've been lurking on this site for years....will be pulling the trigger in the next month or two to buy my first Spyder. I acutally will be doing a demo at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday...looking forward to trying a 2014.....but I can't help to think that I will get a really good deal on a 2013 ST....I know some have heat problems...but I'm going to roll the dice and need be, will just use what others have been doing to mitigate the heat. Question for you, where did you get your ST? Dealer or individual? If dealer...what's your opinion on their service department? I think this is a one of the most important factors when buying the Spyder. Also, for other people reading this post are there any other suggestions for good Dealers and servie dept. around NC,SC,VA,TN....I don't mind driving for piece of mind. Sorry I hope I didn't hijack your post!

I bought mine from a dealer, Mountain Motorsports right outside Pigeon Forge, TN. I couldn't tell you how the service department is yet since it's not been in yet for it's first service but everyone there is really nice and very available to answer questions and help as much as possible.
 
Melissa congrats on your new Spyder. I have the same bike and love it! You made a great choice in colors! Now about those mountains, I live in Utah, and while we don't have the tallest we certainly do have some rugged and steep Rocky Mountains. Let the Farkles begin!

I've never been to Utah. I'll have to travel that way sometime. We made a cross country trip a couple of years ago to Washington but we didn't go through Utah. I've heard it's beautiful there.

Hi new here too. Will be picking up same spyder on Saturday and I am very excited! Just wanted to say hello and maybe we will see each other on the road. I am up in the mountains of NC too. :f_spider:
 
Taking the big step...

Just got done with demo rides in AZ. Oh yea, still love the ST. A dealer there has, what I think, is a smoking deal on a 2013 ST Limited. It may not be in the color I really, really want but even my wife says I deserve it. So Tuesday I will but some money down to hold it until the taxes are done. Come on big return.
One question, any problem history? Anybody?
