New to the Spyder, looking for the right jacket

So, after pining over bikes for some dozen years, the planets have aligned and I've got a deposit on a new leftover '13 RS. I'll be picking it up in the 1st week of July and cannot wait. I'm in the process of finding a riding jacket and would love some input from experienced riders. From the research, it appears that textile is the way to go due to breathability and cost, but I'd like to know:
1) Being a long time ATV and sled rider, I expect to lean in on corners and be a fairly active driver. Will a dual sport / adventure type 3/4 jacket such as the Alpinestars Capetown Jacket be too restrictive? Should a belt length jacket be used instead?
2) Have people had good experience with Rev'It, Joe Rocket, or Alpinestars? Are there any other big < $200 brands I should consider?
3) How important is a high visibility jacket on a Spyder? I plan to go high vis w. the helmet.

any thoughts or inputs are appreciated!

i use a red teknic mesh jacket most of the time and do a AGV mesh hi viz when i ride early morning and evenings.

The wife and I wear Speed & Strength textile jackets in the warmer months, and Xelement leather jackets in the cooler months. In the end, it is what is comfortable for you and your riding partner. "If Mamma Ain't Momma Happy, Ain't Nobody Happy". 'Nuff Said

We use the Speed and Strength Jackets as well. We just got 2 Under the Radar mesh jackets for the hot weather. I wear a Hi Vis Scorpion helmet EXO 500

Thanks much for the input on jackets. I found some heavy duty nylon jackets for the co-pilot and I at a crazy price, and am now counting the days...

Look into Castle....good vis too. It also has a liner. I think I paid 120$.

I have 3 jackets, but the first one I got was a TourMaster. I don't remember the model, but it has an insulated inner jacket, a mesh jacket and an textile outer shell. It's great for year-round use. In the summer I use just the mesh. On the coldest days I can use all 3 layers. It's a good investment for your first (possibly only) jacket.

I wear a nylon Joe Rocket somethingorother.................has a mesh front/zipper inside the main front zipper and rear exhaust vents on the back of the armpits, as well as a zip or snap in liner I've never used. I really like it for three season wear.
