• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello everyone, being new to the group I have not yet figured out how to post new threads using my iPad. so I logged in on my desktop.
Put a deposit on a 2014 RT (silver) a couple weeks ago, so now I am waiting for the artic weather go go away here in Michigan.
Decided it was time to retire from 2 wheels after last fall laying down my Voyager when the kickstand decided to fold on me when I dismounted. Liek a fool I tried to hold it up and pulled my shoulder out. Besides after my wife has had 4 knee surgeries I really dont need her getting on/off everytime I do. The first modification will be a Corbin seat so I can fill it up while she stays on.
Thanks for listening!
Ride Safe,

Welcome to the Michigan riders ! What city in Michigan ? You will love your Spyder , takes a few miles to adjust , you will love this forum , everyone is so helpful !!

Congrats! and Welcome!

:congrats: on your purchase of a new 2014 RT!!:yes::yes: :welcome:

I am in my late 50's and moved from 2 wheeled fun to 3 wheeled fun when I bought my first Spyder RT last year -- a brand new 2012 RT Limited -- loved it - rode 7,650 miles in 2013 (very short ryding season here in cold Minnesnowta)....

Anyways, upgraded to a 2014 since I liked the 2012 so much. You will love it, it just takes time to get used to the feel and is not like the 2 wheeler. This thread information helped me when I first got my Spyder....give it a look: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?41346-quot-Do-s-and-Do-Nots-quot-for-new-Spyder-owners&referrerid=12858

It's a little dated (they will be adding more info on the 2014 RT), but many things still apply.....worked for me! Enjoy your new ryde!!!:yes::yes:

:welcome:and :congrats: on your 14' RT. Don't be shy on asking questions on this site, we are here to help.

2 years ago, I bought a 2012RTS-SE5. I went from a 2-wheeled motorcycle ( HD) to a :spyder2: and I am happy with my :spyder2:. We also, have a short motorcycle season in the Northeast, like you do in Michigan. You will get people asking you questions no matter where you on your :spyder2:.

Enjoy your new 14RT, many happy miles.

Bogie, welcome to more smiles to the mile club. I live in Fenton, Mi and had to look up where Brown City is. I am thinking about having a cook out for the Spyder Riders on May 31 if the weather every warm up. Still in the thinking about stage. Have you heard about Spyderfest in Springfield, Mo? I went last year for the first time and had a great time. This year my wife Jennifer will be going with me. Oh Spyderfest is April 30th to May 4th.
