I recently purchased a 2011 RS-S SE5 and find that I really enjoy riding/driving it. This after 50 years of riding on 2 wheels. (y'all can figger out my age if you really want to.)
I had been considering a test ride on a spyder for some time, but had never taken the time to do it. However, after leaving my HONDA ST1300 at the bottomn of a mountain in WV for the insurance company to retrieve, I decided that I had crashed a single track vehicle for the last time.
I test rode a new ST. Enjoyed it immensely. Didn't buy it. Why? Didn't hav ethe insurance check yet and had promised to buy the wife a new car, so ready cash was not in hand. Then came the 2011 RS-S. And the ins. check. Done deal. Great ride. Should have done it loooong ago.
Don't plan on adding too many farkles; heated grips, have added sport touring shield, some storage in the frunk, have a rear seat cowl that needs repainted and have gotten started on that, connections for a GPS, ...............
How many miles do y'all get on your tires? I have a replacement for the rear in the garage, but haven't done anything for the fronts yet. I was replacing rubber on mt motorcycles about every 7000 to 9000 miles, and I'm hoping for better than that on the Spyder. Sadly, the fuel economy doesn't hold a candle to the sport touring HONDA. But hten who cares when your are having fun?
