• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New to F3

I just got my 2015 Spyder F3-S last Thursday, I am planning on a lot of rides in the next couple of weeks, but a few problems. I have very little storage, the Frunk will hold my rain gear and a pair of gloves. I have been looking into tank bags and possibly a tail bag. I had a Honda VTX with a sissy bar before this and I used a tail bag on every trip. My family and friends ride and a 200 to 300 mile day is considered a short ride. I plan on going to the Spyder rally in NC later this month, but would like to make these first couple of rides easier. Maybe somewhere to put my massive iPhone 6Plus, and just a few things I like to carry with quick access.

:welcome: and :congrats: on your new F3. I think you have the right idea about tank and tail bags. Easy on/easy off for when you need to carry extra gear.

For now you can purchase a watertight bag (at Walmart in camping section) and bungee the bag to the passenger seat. Thats what I do for weekend trips. There are many saddlebag options out there you can explore, from cheap to very expensive.

Bags

I have a windshield that actually does something, along with both driver and passenger backrest coming hopefully this week. Im waiting to see how the backrest mounts to see if I can put a tail bag on it, but the tank bag would be great today. I live about 30 min from a cycle gear, not really wanting to take the bike apart hoping for something that install is a true 10 to 15 min.

Be careful with tank bag if grit gets under or it moves around it will scratch the finish!:banghead:
Congrats on the new F3!:yes::yes::yes:

Before putting saddle bags on my F3S We used a T-bag that I had for the road king. Worked very well the straps on it went around the F3 grab bars for the passenger and were real easy to unhook and also has a rain cover if needed. I was able to fit 5 days of stuff and ridding gear in it just fine. You can get them at most motorcycle shops on line and are not that bad on price. I did put Harley Police bags on but still use the T-bag on long trips. Jim
