Thanks for checking this post out! My wife and I finally made our dream of owning a Spyder a reality this weekend right before leaving on our annual motorcycle trip. My questions are these: How important is the first 600 mile service? We left with the odometer on 1 and will most likely cross over 1000 miles before getting back home. Do we need to find a dealer around where we are riding? or is waiting till we get back home an option? I am absolutely in LOVE with the spyder experience!!! I value your feedback and have been an active reader of this forum for over a year now. The dealer we bought from is 2 hours from our home when we get back. I am pretty mechanical and plan on doing a lot of the maintenance myself. with Lamonsters youtube tips and everyones knowledge we are looking to make this Spyder experience a valued part of our time together for many years. On a side note to the amazingness of these machines. We spent all day and night moving into our new home on friday, and with no sleep set out on our trip from Muncie, Indiana to Pineville, Kentucky. I could not have done that on the Harley! So smooth and easy to ryde it was the best motorcycling experience we have ever had!
