• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Spyder RTS

I thought I would introduce myself. I'm from Waterville, OH. I've had the 2012 Spyder RTS SE5 (Blue) since May 5th. I have been reading many, many posts in the forum. This site seems to offer the most information of any I've found. I also like the way you folks interact. I'm looking forward to becoming a part of this group. I have eyed the Spyder models for a few years. I vividly remember where I was, a few years back. when I saw my first Spyder out on the road, it was in Quincy Michigan. My wife and I were at the local Dairy Queen on US-12 and the Spyder pulled into the lot across the street. I was mesmerized. I wasn't able to catch the rider before he left, so I missed the opportunity to see one up close. I have owned a few Goldwings, Harleys and a BMW 1150 RT (prior favorite) in the past. I must say, that this Spyder thing has quite surprised me, I feel as if I was destined to find this ride. I feel very comfortable on the Spyder already and it makes me smile whenever I'm on it.

I see some mods in our future. I've been reading as much as I can find on the site, but I do have some questions I'll post in the other areas that I haven't found the answer or enough info about.

Thanks for all of the insight and help that is here at Spyderlovers.

:welcome:I could not agree more about this site and the great people that are here. So much commerodity, and helpful information on the Spyder. I just joined as well, and get my RT Ltd. on Thursday. Looking forward to meeting some of these great folks. I was born and raised in Ohio ( Central area) and will be riding up there soon with some Goldwing riders.
Enjoy, and keep smiling. Your intro post made me feel good about making this purchase.
