• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Spyder RT-S owner... looking for info on servicing dealers/certifications

Hi All! Love my new Can-Am Spyder RT-S SE5.

There aren't a lot of Spyders in my neck of the woods in Maine. I purchased it in MA, but don't want to drive 120 miles just for service. There is a dealer closer to me, but my fiancee has reservations about the integrity of the entire town of Sanford, Maine. I'm just trying to gain some levity here. How can I tell what the qualifications of the service shop is?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Why not stop by the dealership and check them out and ask for references just like if you were
looking for a baby sitter. Speak with the mechanic and find out what schooling he or she has taken from BRP.
No disrespect to your fiancee, but the integrity of the entire town of
Sanford Maine! Really? I checked out this website for the town
http://www.sanfordmaine.org/index.a...50}&DE={D4408E9A-2BF6-44C1-A9AB-26B235606D1E} Where are the red flags? We have towns out here in California i.e.; Bell or Vernon that are corrupt, but
still would check out the businesses and see if they are ok. jmo, good luck and let us know what yu decide and how it all works out.

Little checking..!!

check with BBB find fellow ryders who have dealt with them. Maybe some are on this site. They may chime in and help out. But like stated above go check them out yourself. Good luck..!!

If you decide the dealership in in Sanford is not for you, Freedom Cycle and HK Laconia or Hooksett NH are top notch :)

I have to agree....anyone north of the Mason Dixon line is not to be trusted!:roflblack:

Oh and Welcome to the Spyderlovers:yes:

:welcome: and :congrats: on your new :spyder:............good luck on your search for an "outstanding" dealership!

Sanford Maine..........is fine

Ive been to the Sanford Maine dealer-kind of small-but they are "Can Am" certified mechanics...so they should be fine....if you don't like Sanford....you will have to travel a bit farther to Concord NH or Hooksett NH ......I live in Farmington NH and will probably use the Sanford Dealer for service. They seem nice there.

Sanford Maine...is fine

I love Sanford ! Very nice little town, lots of things to do, places to eat, and the Can Am dealer is fine. Ive never had an issue with the "Integrity" of Sanford. I live in NH and still go there for shopping-riding-movies (Smittys!-beer+movies+food all in one stop)...so don't be shy, Sanford is fine.

:welcome: Others will have to chime in on dealers in MA. You are kind of out of my area. :roflblack: Been to Freeport and the surrounding area--but not for :ani29: servicing.

THANK YOU FOR ALL THE GOOD ADVICE

Thank you everyone and thank you especially to someone from my neck of the woods!!!!!! Will check them out... I was taken back by how upset he was about me saying I was bringing it to Sanford. Unreal right?!?!? I'm a big girl and know what the heck I am doing.

THANK YOU ALL FOR THE WELCOMES ;)
