• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Spyder RT limited

After riding Harley’s for the better part of 50 years I purchased a new 2019 Spyder RT Limited yesterday. I had test ridden Harley trikes and did not like the way they rode. Test drive a Spyder and loved it
I am real pleased with the bike, although I still reach for the clutch lever occasionally.
I live in NE Florida so I ride year round. If you see someone on a white Spyder wearing Harley Jacket it might be me. There are quite a few of us and our circle is growing

i wear a HD jacket on the Spyder.... I had a fella try to rib me, I told him not to ride, one, or he would be on one.... ha ha did you sell your Harley? I still have mine... for now...

:welcome: to the forum, :congrats: on the new Spyder RTL, Make sure and post a photo in the Spyder Garage so we can all have a look.

For me, it's Victory gear. Not only did I sell my Victory, the factory stopped making them. So I'm a real dinosaur parading around advertising Victory.

:welcome: and :congrats: on your new :ani29:

I have a HD long sleeve pull over that I wear a lot. I got mine as a "gift" from a MC club party a few years back.

I still have tons of Harley gear from my Dyna era ... loved that bike! (except when it stranded me in Wyoming...)

Welcome to the Spyder Dome!!:doorag:

I'm a former Victory rider myself. Had an original 99C. Lloyd himself was my salesperson. And my bike was the first one he worked over the engine. Still miss it. Tom :spyder:

I have a few Indian motorcycle shirts and sweaters I got when I bought my 2014 Indian Chieftain. Got 250 bucks in free gear with purchase. I still wear them when riding my Spyder.

We have had a variety of bikes/trikes over the years, and and of course had some of the branded gear that went with them. I confused quite a few people when I went out wearing a Triumph shirt, at Harley belt buckle and a Goldwing Millennial jacket while riding the Spyder RTL.

Congrats on your new ride! I also ride around in North East Florida (Jacksonville and Yulee).
I traded my Victory for a 2016 F3T and still love it after almost 4 years and 44,000 miles, but
I do miss my Victory.
Ride safe and enjoy, maybe we will pass each other on the highway sometime.

Today, it is 32 degrees. I saw three Harley Davidson (I think) motorcycles riding at 70 with two leather clad people on board. I hope they had some really really good heating gear. What is the wind chill factor of 32 degrees in a 70 mph wind??? Most likely they were having a good time.

The windchill is probably very low. But it depends on how much wind protection your bike gives you. A full dresser is going to be much warmer than a bike with no windshield.

It has been several years since I rode without a windshield. Yes, it was colder that way. My current three bikes all have windshields. The two Spyders have heated grips. Turned them on for the first time this year, last week. 60's today...so maybe not.

There is a site, cyclefish dot com, which has a chart to tell the numbers. 32 degrees at 70 mph is about 10 degrees. Super airid.
