New Spyder RT finally!

Took delivery of my new 2015 rt red and black special series yesterday! Just wish the weather get better, its 91 outside today! Rode some this morning while it was cooler, still learning when to shift gears. The dealer had to order the gps harness and mount, called today and said they have the parts but they are 3 weeks out on installing!:shocked: Does anyone know how hard the gps and harness is to install, I am thinking of maybe trying it myself?

I dream of the day the temperature goes down to 91. I'm used to riding in 100 - 115 degree temperatures during the summer months. 91 would feel refreshing :bowdown:.

That will depend on how hard you throttle.
But on an easy go city driving @3000 rpm should do.

Depends on how you want to wire it but on stock it goes all the way back to under the seat and you have to take the right side Tupperware off. :thumbup:

For you that are mentioning the 95 to 100 degree stuff. Take a quick trip to Alaska. Its 52 this PM. It was 42 when I went for an oil change this AM.

The heavier gloves, jacket, and chaps are back on.

Grew up in Yuma, if it's over 85 it's too hot. I'm liking our 60s and 70s right now. But with a new bike anytime is a good time to ride unless it's snowing.

Let the Dealer do the Install - that way if there are any electrical gremlins, it's on their watch! I am presuming your order for this brand-new ryde included the GPS so (by implication) it should be on the bike not in a box.

on the gps and harness, if it was part of the deal they should do it and should squeese you in..sadly the deals done so they put you at the end of the line..:banghead: if it is an after thought you could do it yourself depending on your abilities. In the meantime use your phone as your gps or like I do and just move it from the car to the spyder...:thumbup:
