• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I was diagnosed 7 years ago with MBS (multiple bike syndrome). ;)
When my Aprilia dealer gave me a Spyder for a loaner while they serviced my Caponord I knew I would be in trouble.
I had already ridden a Spyder last year at the AZ bike week. But a "supervised" group ride in a residental area with strictly "no burnouts" didn't impress me.
My dealer told me to have fun and burn some rubber ...

Well, the rest is history. I picked it up last Thursday, my girl friend learned to ride it in about an hour and after watching me and my buddy doing burn outs on the parking lot she got inspired to try it too:

Priceless!

Thanks BRP for building such a fun machine!

yeah, Kregg @ Speeds Sport in Livermore is great. I bought 3 other bikes from them (all Aprilias). I still want to take his 550 Supermoto bike on Mines Road, it's a very twisty road from Livermore to San Jose:

I thinks that's the problem with most dealers: they have fun machines that will get you excited as soon as you ride them. So why don't most dealers offer demo rides?! I don't get it ... :banghead:

If you have MBS, then I must have MMMBS with 23! LOL Worst part is that I almost bought another recently, and considered buying two at once. :D Welcome and congrats.

welcome:congrats: and as far as dealers offering rides, they have an "insurance issue". When I bought my M109, I asked for a demo ride. They said they weren't allowed" Due to insurance issues." Luckily, I had rode a friend's 109. My question to him was "How do I know I will like the ride?" Pretty much the same at all motorcycle dealers.:(

Interesting....All the dealers around here for the most part offer demo rides however some of them only offer them select days/times of the month such as Harley here.

welcome I guess you know that now she has been bitten Too. what color is hers going to be?

we'll have to share this one, don't have any room left in the garage ;)

She is talking about getting her motorcycle license and riding a bike but I rather see her on the Spyder, much more safe.

they can buy appropriate insurance. Some don't want to offer demo rides because they can't sell a bike for full price if it has a few hundred miles on it.

I don't want to tell dealers how to run their business. But some do it really well. Arlen Ness is around the corner from me, you can hop on any of their Victories or custom bikes any time of the day and take it for a spin. They sell a lot of bikes because of that ...
