• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Today I purchased a one owner 2011 Spyder Limited with 22000 miles. It has been well cared for and looks new. It was in my price range and I am happy with the purchase. I pick it up on Sunday. Is there anything I need to check over when I get it home?

Welcome welcome....

To both this awesome site and the spyder world. Nice find..congrats on that new ryde..:2thumbs: be safe and enjoy the miles of smiles. ..:ohyea::ohyea:

Congrats on your purchase. You may have already done this, but I would read the Do's and Do Not's posting. Fantastic information about the Spyders. In fact, I think it is required reading before you pick up your bike. Make sure the dealer has checked to see if there are any recalls that have not been taken care of, and complete them if needed. This site is a great place for any questions. Some people here are a bit cantankerous but they all mean well.

Good purchase, you will have a great time on your new baby. I have a 2014 RT and just love it. Make sure you get the tool kit(which is under the seat) and owners manual. Otherwise have s good time and drive safe.

:welcome: & :congrats: My first Spyder was a one-owner 2011 RTS. It was a great introduction to the Spyder-verse!

I would....

Congratulation Spyder Ryder!!!
I would run it around the block a couple of times and then check the oil level and color.
Check for Codes before you turn it off. Check with Spyder Dealer to ensure Software updates completed and Maintenances are up to date.
Then Ryde it like you Stole it!!!

Thanks everyone. The previous original owner babied it and has all the records for it. It still warranty through August too. I feel fortunate to have found one this well cared for at the price I got it for. If I fall in love with it I may look at the newer model to get the larger engine. I pick it up on Sunday. The weather in Iowa hasn't cooperated. Has anyone put a brown seat on a white Spyder? I picked up a brown seat with driver's backrest today and thought I would try it!
