• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well . . . I'm HOOKED! We went down about three weeks ago and did a test ride; WE LOVE IT!! My previous ride was a Kawasaki Versys which was a lot of fun. The downside - my wife wouldn't ride pillion on a 2-wheeler. We considered a sidercar for the Versys but she was kind enough to humor me for a test ride. I have just under 1K on it and she's been along for about 30% of that. And frankly, THAT'S the best part of a Spyder!!

I'm looking forward to communicating with you folks. I can see I have a lot to learn.

:congrats: They are VERY addicting! I know I was hooked when I test rode one over a year ago, and just got mine last week.

I don't have much knowledge to pass on but...

Congratulations on the new spYder! I just got mine a few days back, but I am new to the open road and have only logged 23 miles(fun miles, but still only 23 :doorag:). So while I don't have any spyder performance or maintanence advice, I will leave you with the thread that was passed on to me with a lot of helpful information gathered for new riders.

You need to get the bugs out of your teeth. :roflblack: Seriously, I'm happy for not only you, but also your wife. The both of you will enjoy.

A Versys huh... They're a real nice bike; but nowhere near as much fun as a Spyder! I agree with you; having your best-half along on the ryde makes all the difference!
:congrats: and welcome aboard!

:congrats: :welcome: Wishing you and your wife many happy times with your new :spyder2: :clap::clap: Before long, I expect your wife to be so comfortable, she will want her own :f_spider:
