• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

:2thumbs: Hi All, name is Jim. Have had my Spyder for about 5 hours now. I have only ridden from the dealer, a whopping 5 miles. I can already tell that the Spyder and I were made for each other. A brief history. 40 year motorcycle rider. Retired from a Defense Department contractor. I currently own and operate a machine shop that caters to custom bike and hot rod work.
A friend of mine bought a Spyder when they first appeared. I was immediately intrigued with the concept and the engineering. Did I also mention that while of normal ht.(5'10") I have really, really short legs. Coming to a stop, riding two up and most certainly trying to push the bike backward while seated upon it was and is difficult. I traded a truly stellar 1955 Chevy 210 2 dr. post in exchange for the Spyder. A straight across trade was made. I got the Spyder, my friend got a car that is worth significantly more than the purchase price. I have never been so happy about making such a bad financial move. I wanted the Spyder, Hell with it!. Looking forward to meeting and sharing some ideas. I spent a couple months lurking, but did not want to"jinx" the deal. Happy to be here.......Jim

Guday from downunder
I had never riden or seen a Spyder and found one on the net.
Flew 1500km to pick it up and rode it home. Best thing I ever did. Still can't get the grin off my face. Hope you love it to.

welcome Just bought my spyder 13 days ago. I am a female and never rode a bike before, only been a passenger before. I love my spyder!!!!:congrats:

welcome Glad to have you aboard. Five whole hours, what took you so long to join us? :D Your deal reminds me of trading my 37 Ford coupe for a 65 Triumph Bonneville a few years back. Both of us were happier, we each thought we had screwed the other guy, market values were higher for both vehicles, but we probably each had just about the same actual cost wrapped up in each of them. Good deal all around! I still have my Bonnevile...and don't miss the coupe at all.
