• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Welcome..!! Welcome..!!

congrats on the new ryde..:2thumbs: read your manual, read the do's and do not's here and find some quiet ryding areas to get aquainted with your machine. After you venture out 300/500 miles you will be smiling like crazy and tooling along like a pro...

Nice ryde. Congrats. Give yourself plenty of time to get used to it. I'm still on the learning curve myself. Stay on the back roads for a while. When you feel comfortable then head to the interstate. I still feel a little twitchy over 65mph but it gets better every ride.

Nice Ride! I really like the style fenders on the 2010-2012 RT's. I see you have some farkles already on your bike like the third tail light. Did the previous owner mention if he put the Baja Ron sway bar on it? That made a huge difference on my 2012 in handling.

Sounds like you're totally new to riding a motorcycle. Highly suggested that you take the Motorcycle Safety Foundations's 3-wheel trike course. While not specific to Spyders there's tons of good information there. I'm not sure what the laws in TN are but here in NJ successfully passing the course gets you a waiver from a written test and a road test at the DMV.

I actually took the two wheeled course and got my motorcycle endorsement. I feel ok on two but much better on three - especially for the long distance touring I want to do. Thanks for the link!

:agree: . Got my Spyder on March 20th, also my first ride less than 4 wheels. Rode around my neighborhood for 2 weeks almost daily. Then back roads for another 2 weeks. Next, 2 to 3 blocks on the main roads. Each ride the blocks got longer and started including red lights. Then on Sunday mornings rode on a couple of main roads as traffic was very light. Saturday rides now include country roads. I now ride to work. Yesterday I got on the highway for a mile or so at 55 mph then exited. Yes I was nervous but maintained my focus. Just take your time! Each ride gets better!

Just did my first ride on public roads! 30 miles on some back roads - felt great!
