• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

two questions

1. do I use a regular motorcycle trailer to tow spyder?
2. what is considered too many miles for 2008 spyder?

I got my 2009 GS from Cowtown and it was sitting at 8703. I think I got a steal for what I got, and I appreciated Len and the rest of cowtown for their help. Len is "The pitbull buggy" here, he might be able to answer your questions directly. As for the trailer, what diminsions are the one you have?

trailer and miles

As for the trailer, you have to measure the open width to make sure it will accomodate the Spyder. I know with the motorcycle trailer we had to accommodate the HD Tri-Glide, it wouldn't fit Smurfette, and we had to get a wider one. There is no such thing as too many miles.....;)

As for the trailer you'll need something that's probably 6 feet wide... (elbow room!) A tandem-axle 10 or 12 footer would tow nice and easy!
A full-width loading ramp would be the easiest way to convince your Spyder to climb aboard; otherwise you'll need 3 ramps... one for each wheel!
I think that mileage is irrelevent if the machine has been maintained properly...

RE: Mileage--As Bob mentioned, mileage irrelevant if the :spyder2: has been maintained properly. A 2008 :spyder2: with 40,000 miles on it would indicate 10,000 miles a season--meaning that it had been ridden a lot--meaning, probably not a lot of problems.

The low mileage ones--CAN have the opposite meaning. A used vehicle can be a crapshoot. You should find out the history, get into the service records, and/or, buy from a reputable dealer that will work with you.

I am guessing that a well maintained :spyder2: should go far better than 100,000 miles--just like a car.

:agree: Particularly if your ride your :spyder2: like a :spyder: :roflblack:
