I finally joined my wife and her 2014 RT limited. She's had more bikes in 10 years than I have had in 40 years riding. She started on a Buell Blast and the 600 Honda and then a 750 Honda. She really loves her Spyder RT. She's only 4'10"(and like the shotgun ready to go off). I picked up a new blue 2018 F3-T. I was riding a Fjr1300 and decided to slow down some so it would be easier to ride together. I really like the new F3 and didn't take but a couple hundred miles to get used to. A couple of thengs I noticed though. I order the BRP belt damper kit. I took the side off ready to install it and it already had one on it. I guess the they are factory installed now. Also, I stopped for gas one time and couldn't get it into first gear. I played with it awhile, turning the key on and off and finally got it into gear. Hasn't done it since then though.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyway, your easy transition from an FJR to a Spyder is encouraging!

I had my foot on the brake. I was able to get it into reverse from no gear. It then took a key on/off and pushing the shift button button for about a minute to get it going.

I would report that to the dealer... you don't want the condition to get worse; it could strand you sometime.
