• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Spyder in my town

PrairieSpyder

New member
My friend, Elizabeth, and her husband went to Kansas City Friday, just to look at Spyders. No intention of buying one yet. She had asked questions about mine, differences between the RTS and Ltd models, etc. I gave her my opinions and said she could probably get a deal on a left-over '15 since the '16s are out. I planned to stop into their shop Monday to see what she thought after test ryding one. But while I was in church, she left me a message that she brought a 2015 RTS home! I couldn't get her back . . they were out ryding around the country-side, but called me later this afternoon and I went over.

I've encouraged her to join SL and told her about all the farkles she should/could add. I think they're interested in coming to Spyderfest. Her husband Jim rides a Goldwing and he asked if 2-wheel riders are welcome!

You know, when new owners introduce themselves here, I'm genuinely happy for them and that they joined SL. But I'm about as happy for Elizabeth that she got a Spyder as if I'd gotten a new one myself. I hope she'll sign up here and tell you more about her experience.

Congratulations to Elizabeth on her new Spyder but now she needs to put away the H-D shirt and get a Spyder shirt.

:agree: & have done same round here helped a bud get his 2010 RS. for a steal, now if he could just get brake. From work:gaah: We are the better sales persons as happy customers, because others want to be happy too:yes: & spyderfest will be all the better with more people two wheel or not, (keeps the vendors coming).

She and her husband bought 2 new HDs and had such bad experiences with the local service they traded them in on 2 new Hondas earlier this year. He got the Goldwing and she got a Shadow. But she wasn't comfortable with the Shadow and only rode it locally. When they went somewhere, she rode pillion. But they both wanted her to have her own wheels.

So she still has the HD clothes. Maybe I'll gift her with one of my Can-Am shirts! :dg1:

Her husband rides a 2 wheeler...NOW. Things might change after he runs the Spyder to the car wash
a couple of times. They could be 6wheeling it. Think she chose a great model and color.

THANK YOU!!!!

Thank you Patti and everyone else for welcoming me!
I'm so happy I got my new Spyder and yes, I WILL be getting rid of my Harley Shirts!!!
