New Spyder GS Owner

Hello Everyone on SpyderLovers;

My wife and I purchased a Sliver 2008 Spyder GS from a friend a few weeks ago. We are new to three wheels due to an injury I received from a major auto accident back in March. I dropped it off at the dealer on Wednesday do get the oil changed and get the bike checked out. Thanks to post on this site, we found out about the DPS Recall, were able to let the dealer know and they got the parts for the recall the same day we dropped it off.

We picked the spyder up this morning and it does feel better. It is less sensitive to uneven roads and more sensitive to input from the driver. We are still getting use to it, but so far it is AWESOME... It seems hard to ride any distance...but I guess that is something that will come with time on the saddle...

Getting used to the handling of the Spyder will come with time, but comfort may be a different story. There are plenty of mods available to improve the comfort factor, and they exist for very good reasons. I have been lucky to get by with just the BRP 1" riser and Comfort Seat, while others have had to do much more extensive changes.

The best thing would be to ryde it for a while and see what points of comfort you are having trouble with. Then you can search on here, or post questions, to find the best solution to the issue for you.

:congrats: & welcome Spend some time ryding before you start to worry about the "comfort" too much, then you'll be able to better decide weither you need to change the seat or change foot pegs/floor boards, or just adjust your ryding position.
