• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Spyde owner concerns

Hello All, I'm a new owner of a Blue RTS SE5:spyder:. I'm feelin out some concerns I have as I get near 600mi to take it in. 1 big concern other the the steering is too sensitive and front end diving in turns is my gearbox feels like it's getting in a fight around 5500 rpm, every time no matter the speed or load. My air bleeds off when in reverse. My oil level message comes on here and there. Brake failure message come on every time I ride. Has anyone else had these issues? I know the dealer will address most of these but I wonder if these are Characteristics of a $27k machine. :yikes: I've had several bike and none of them never did such crucial things, not even my Ducati. Thanks. FYI, You all are a great group and have been helpful in my knowledge quest before buying my RTS.

Check your brake and engine oil levels. Adjust your front suspension tosuit your liking. The hissing sound you hear is probably normal with the rear suspension. You can check pressure manually under the seat for the rear suspension if it makes you more comfortable. If it is leaking, you will feel like you are riding on a pogo stick.

welcome

welcome. I haven't had any of your described problems with my RT-S. I'm sure your dealer will fix it for you.:2thumbs:

Yes Prense01, I set my front shocks to 5. It helps but I'm leaning to the Elka's. Oil and brake levels are good. The parking brake function is ok. The rear shocks are working fine just leaks in reverse, I mean as soon as I put it in gear. I've talked to the dealer and will be taking it in for the 600 mi check up. The horrible vibration feel at 5500 rpm it scary!
