• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New skid plate

On my 2008 Spyder GS I went thru a few skid plates. They seem to get broken pretty easy. I've noticed the RT has a lot more ground clearance. Installed on of Harvey's skid plates... Works and looks great.

the Bump Skid from Spyderpops works great and has been put to the test by numerous Spyder Ryders, it also has a factory installed appearence that enhances the front end look of your spyder. I have not seen or tried a metal one, my personal choice is the hard plastic for weight and looks. I also think that the smooth side down on any Skid Plate/Bump Skid/Possum Pusher is a better idea.

:agree: Based on the picture, the diamond plated one is cut using the form of the OEM plate, so it does not cover the whole bottom nose like Spyderpop's Skid Plate. And like Joe says, the aspect of being metal adds some weight to it, although a lot stronger...
