• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New side panel “fake” post replacements needed

I didn't see anything like that on my 2019. The "nut" part of the post does indeed have a flat spot that would allow for this, but no there isn't a corresponding seat or anything on the panel for it to key into. The whole post spins freely.

The body panels from 2019 and earlier are the same except color.
Chances are, someone turned the torx fastener and broke the alignment tab off the soft plastic panel.

The white residue you saw, possibly someone tried to super glue it in position.

My dealer Adventure PS got their storm damage fixed and phones and power restored, and called me to let me know they had the bent post in stock for $5!

Changing it out was very easy:.......

Thank you! I need the same exact part for my new to me ride, and having a few spares won't hurt.

I can not read the parts number since they do not get big enough. What is the part number for those plastic studs that are attached with security torx screws on the front side body panels. A friend of mine has a broken on and one close to breaking. The previous owner had bent them badly when putting the panels back on. The part number would be greatly appreciated. It is the picture -image 0409 posted by Allen42 a few comments above this one.
