• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OMG - WTF?

Sorry not my intent to hijack this thread.

I just sent a ticket to Sena asking what are the button operation changes?

Their responses was they did not know, this is what KOREA sent them.

WHAT???

This was my reply to Sena.

Unfortunately, I would STRONGLY suggest obtaining further information.

Button operation changes are a BIG DEAL since these words suggest it effects the operation of the unit.

Had they said FIXED button operation or similar that is understood, but button operation changes . . . without further explanation is UNSATISFACTORY.

Maybe it’s a translation thing, but as USERS we need to know.

If you agree, PLEASE, send tickets to SENA and politely DEMAND knowing if the update does in fact change the operation of the buttons.

Are now supposed to guess?

Then it maybe only a FIX to button operation, but there is a big difference between FIX and CHANGE.

Thanks

AJ

If that's what they meant, then that's what they should say. :)

Thanks for a further explanation, which is more then Sena did!

AJ

While I agree with you they should know. If you read this it says button changes on the "Remote control". This means they changed some buttons on the optional handlebar remote control.

http://www.sena.com/product/controls/handlebarremote/

It does not say they changed how the buttons work on the headset itself.

If you compare the manuals for 1.4 and 1.4.1 you can see that there were major changes in the functions that can be made using the handle bar remote buttons (section 19.2, which button to press how long).

The only other thing that differs is where there was "Bluetooth 4.0" is now "Bluetooth 4.1", but that's it. :)

I take it then that the new manual is online?
So why didn't Sena know this it simply state it? :banghead:

Thank You!

AJ
