• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thank you all for your input on the RT, it made my decision so much easier to purchase a Spyder rather than a goldwing trike.:2thumbs: The dealer had said before that the lead time of an RTS would be about a month. So yesterday my wife and I went to put a deposit down, suprise we can pickup the spyder and trailer on Tuesday. dltang and bjt looking forward to meeting both of ya seeing we are in the same area. Thanks again:clap:

Delivered on Tue

Got the bike on tue, took it for a test drive and the odometer now reads 122000 miles, darn good test drive. The service manager said that they had 2 new deliveries where the spedo cluster was bad and already notified BRP. I can deal with that, got it home opened the frunk, put my helmet inside and now it won't open again :yikes: Hope that this is not what I can expect from now on. Going back to the dealer on Fri. Enjoyed riding so far.

I had the same issue with my frunk, It is possible to press to hard on the high dollar plastic and over rotate the latch. I simply went for another ride, the plastic flexed enough that the latch would then release. You might get as lucky?

If it is the front trunk, have someone press down on the trunk while you release the latch. Then have the dealer adjust the latch mechanism. I'm assuming you are talking release with the key. Don't forget to push down as you turn, BTW, and go the right direction. If you are speaking of the electronic release button, the engine must be running.

If you are talking the rear trunk, wiggling the key sometimes helps. Spray in some Lock-Ez when you get done, the locks are stiff from the factory, and lubricate the latches with a tiny bit of white lithium grease, or something similar. It helps. Don't use WD-40 in the locks...ever! Hope you find a magic bullet somewhere in this miscellaneous wisdom. :D

Thanks for the ideas, tried them and still no luck, oh well. I have an appt. tomorrow at 10 am, hopefully they don't have to keep it.

Riding now

Well they got it open saying that the cover had closed kiddewampus and was on the seal ring. Works fine now and went on a 50 mile ride. Love it!!!!:D
