• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Got a new 2016 RTS today been waiting for awhile. You do not have to wait for the screen to scroll before starting. Its a Canadian model so not sure about US. Got 150 plus miles on it today.
I have had 2 other traditional trikes, this RT is by far the best in comfort and ride. Hope the reliability is now much better.
I started looking in 2010 but did not like the 998 engine. Then life got in the way, open heart surgery last year. But alls well
now we are signed up for the Red Rock Rally in St. George. So hope to meet new friends. I had a F3 ordered last year
but with health issues it didn't work out. But I know the RT with all the goodies was the right choice. If your ever on Vancouver Is. BC. Give us a shout. and we will ride. Bob

Interesting info.
Happy that it all worked out for you and health is better now.
I was wondering who were the other 2 going to the Red Rock from BC. My wife and I are the other 2 from BC that are registered and perhaps we will see you on the way there. Always nice to meet up with other travellers.

Gary

I'm curious if it cost you anything extra to have it start like it should ?

If they would consider that for US market, I might consider a trade.

MARIE- No extra charge (Canada is high enough already :)) According to my salesman it works that way on the 16's.
I not even sure if its all models or just the RT's. Next time I see him I will ask more specific questions.

Congrats Bob !

Nice looking RT Bob. I bought a 2014 RTL last year on sale. I'm in Campbll River and ride all over the North Island. Not been past Duncan on this one. Maybe we will run into each other on this big rock!
Terry.

Congrats on the new ride, congrats to BRP for finally getting rid of the long start up and mode press for no reason!

Let me be completely clear on the start up. Bike is in Neutral, parking brake is on. Turn key to on, press mode switch and hit
starter button. I also step on brake. So it may not be instant (sorry) but you do not have to wait for any scrolling on screen. So for me its just like starting any other vehicle. Sorry if the word instant is misused.

:agree: 100%! Congratulations on your new ride and your health recoup!
On the quick start up? This my honest opinion! If I have to wait for the screen to clear up, so does the thieves!

Go check out...

Go check out GVMC right there in your home town
Greater Vancouver Motorcycle Club they are the sister club
of Oakland Motorcycle Club great bunch of folks

I looked at 15 and 16 in Wisconsin Saturday test drove 16. Both had the long delay screen start up. With the cam bus computer system BRP could deprogram that feature.
