• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

new RT today-first ride impression

We picked up our RT today, the ride home was my first ride on a Spyder......

First ride impression...........

I rode about 3 miles and stopped for lunch, the bike felt like the rear end was doing a wig/wag back and forth......
Next came about 35 miles on a four lane, it still felt a little unstable, but then I relaxed a little and all the sudden everything felt better......
Another 50 miles on the four lane and all started to feel normal, the ride felt good, wind protection excellent......
Stopped for a break and cool down, (it was about 96F) before hitting Birmingham traffic......
After the break, the wig/wag I had felt at slow speed when I started no longer existed, everything kept getting better as I adapted.....
Another 25 miles in traffic, no problems at all, everything seems to get better and better as I relax and enjoy the ride......
The engine heat that I had read about was not noticeable to me......
All in all.......so far very happy with the new ride......
Sonny
