There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I took out the 2014 RT... AAAAAA mazing!!!!! but haven't tried the 2014 ST yet. I understand there will be differences, big ones in fact, but is the seating on both fairly similar? I love the touring aspect of the RT over the ST, but I would still tour with the ST if its comfy enough. My issue is I just love the sportiness of the ST so much...

Looking for all you honest opinions.. cause you all rock!!! Thanks in advance to you all... looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Face it...
You're hooked!! :D
Now comes the really fun part; deciding which one is going to be keeping you company! :2thumbs:
Happy Shopping!

I know, I know... I'm heading to Laconia bike week for one day tomorrow. Spyder BRP is there, I'll see if I can get a ride on an ST too.

I took a spin on an ST Limited back in 2012... You'll LOVE it!
I really liked the more responsive feeling of the bike.
My only concern: the fact that the envelope of still air around the rider wasn't as big as the one on my 2010 RT... with that HUGE 27" windshield!
All in all; a pretty unreasonable thing to think! :D
Now: go get some! :2thumbs:

I've never ridden one but the 1330 sounds like it's pretty awesome. I strictly prefer the sportier setup of the ST and the price difference made it an easy decision for me to get the ST. I got a holdover 13 at a significant discount. I don't need electric everything and the cruise and radio makes the st the perfect cruiser IMHO

Maybe there's another Spyderlover nearby, that added one...
(But I'm sorry about the "Double-Dog" thing then; no need to add more pressure!)

A great problem to have and the answer seems to be to test drive both and see which version you like best.

:ani29:: ST is more sporty looking and handling with the missing trunk and some of the gadgets.

:ani29:: ST is going to cost a lot less.

:ani29:: RT has the bigger engine and different gearing. Amenities are at a higher level.

:ani29:: Both will get you to where you want to go in style

Happy Hunting.

Definately try both

Don't know what your finances are but as said prior that will be a big piece of your decision. I love the looks and ride of the ST. I did get a slightly bigger shield for it. Haven't tried the new motor (don't want to yet for fear I'll like it too much). Good luck.

I tried both

I currently own a 13 ST Limited. I now have just over 4200 miles on it and we are loving it more & more everytime we are out. We just did a demo ride on a 14 RT Limited on Monday and there are a lot of things to like about it. The RT you sit slightly more upright but not much. The ride is much better than my St exspecially for my passenger. Overall it is avery nice machine. Two things we did not like about the RT. 1 was the engine sound, and it was just was not as much fun to ride in OUR opinion as our ST. Not as much fun factor. I agree with everyone else ride both and decide for yourself.

We don't have 2014s, but I can tell you that I put miles on my ST Limited touring and love it. It is very comfortable. (and sporty at the same time) My husband has the RTS and loves it, but I would not trade my ST L.....

We were in the same situation. Wanted a second bike. Currently had the 2014 RT-S. We test drove the 2014 ST and loved it but you just can't beat the 1330. We just did not want to go back to a high RPM engine. We felt the better value was buying a second 2014 RT-S.

Choices choices..!!

what a predicament...but it will boil down to the ryding you will do and your wallet. You can bag-up the ST and farkel it to close to the RT just as you can tune the suspension and get better sport handling on the RT. Your driving so don't worry about the looks..:roflblack::roflblack: But after you test ryde the ST you will better see where your headed...happy hunting..!! :2thumbs:

No need to be sorry Bob:2thumbs: I ain't mad

Riding always beats NOT riding; don't it! :D
I've got a fellow here in Town who rides a much older Triumph with a right-hand side shifter...
He lost his left lower leg in a car accident forty years' ago, and has found a marvelous way to adapt...

I haven't sat on, let alone ridden an ST. But if they'd have come out with the new engine in the ST this year I'd have certainly considered that instead of the RT. Since I have a trailer, I don't really need all the storage.
