New RT Limited

My wife picked up her new RT Limited edition this past Saturday and so far really loves it. I only drove it a couple of miles to gas it up for her so I don't have much of an opinion yet.

She got the HID lighting option and although it was pretty expensive, the light output is awsome.

One thing we haven't figured out yet, is where the helmet headset plugs into the Spyder.

Another problem, is that when she plugs her iPhone in, the phone shows a message something like "incompatible device". It's an iPhone4, so should be the latest thing.

The Spyder is a great ride, but I'll stick with my Goldwing as long as I'm able to keep 2 wheels supported.

I believe you need the communications wire harness.
" Entertainment Harness (219400201) required"
The iPhone message simply means that Apple doesn't recognize the Spyder. Mine gives the same message, but still works fine.

Thanks for the info DaBusses. We'll look into ordering the harness. I kind of thought the Limited version came with all that stuff.

The Iphone 4 gives that message because you may hear some weird noises when the phone is communicating with the tower. I use mine all the time and it works great.

As for the headset, you need to have the CB installed with the entertainment harness, I believe. The plug will be where the switches are...
