• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New RT Cup Holder/Accessory Mount

Hi all,
A while back a friend asked me to make a cup holder for her 2011 Spyder Rt. I thought no problem. I'll carve one out in no time on the milling machine. Well, I quickly found out why there aren't many options on the market. That handlebar is a real pain to clamp to. But after a lot of trial and error, measuring and fitting, and several different prototypes, I finally hit on a design that is sturdy, functional, and attractive. Everyone that saw it loved it, so I decided to file for a patent application and then started a small home business to manufacture and market them. I've had several dealers interested in marketing them but when we added their 30% commission, the price got a little high IMHO. So, here I am.

Nuff about me, now about the mount.
The SRT Accessory Mount is machined from 6061 aluminum, hard anodized in either black or clear finish, and includes both a brushed stainless cup holder with two liners for either canned or bottled drinks, and a 7/8" dia. knurled clamping bar to attach other accessories such as GPS or smartphone holders. The mount can be fitted on the left or right side on electronic shift models, or on the RIGHT SIDE ONLY of manual shift machines with a clutch lever. The cup holder can be mounted on the front or the rear of the handlebar, with the clamping bar mounted opposite side. The mount is lined with a rubber strip so as not to mar the plastic handlebar, and comes with all mounting screws needed, and a hex key.

So far, I've tested these on 2011-2013 models. If anyone near me has an older model, I'd be interested in meeting you to see if it will fit.

I'm located in Pilot Mountain, NC, if anyone would like to meet ftf to look at them.

As a side note, I'll add that quality is my highest priority, but I am a one man operation with a family and job. I try to make sure nothing slips through the cracks, but if you were to receive something defective, contact me about it. I will make it right.

If you are interested in ordering, or have any questions, please contact me at my business email [email protected]. I will try to keep up with the private messages, but I do check this email far more often. Also, I work 2nd shift, so it may be the following morning before I get back to you.

Thanks, Lamonster

I should add that the pics of the mount on the bike are of the prototype, which was not anodized. The other pictures are of the finished mount. I currently have 25 sets of each color ready to ship, and will make more as needed.

I've had several emails asking about a website. One way I'm trying to keep costs down is by not operating a site. If you're interested in ordering, shoot me an email and I can send an invoice through PayPal.
Thanks,
Charles

I ordered this yesterday and it shipped today. Excellent response time from Charles. He responded to my emails promptly and it's good that he gives the heads up that he's a one person company and has a family.

More Pics

IMG_0027.jpgIMG_0025.jpgIMG_0024.jpgIMG_0028.jpg The Smartphone holder in the photos is generic and available online for about $20. Any attachment that will clamp to a 7/8" handlebar will fit.

The best cup holder I've found

It's a perfect fit on my Spyder handlebars. Good job Charles!

Ordered and received one last week. Installed it on our new RT, Perfect fit, everything included, including the needed allen wrench for installation. We have about 400 miles on it and it is a welcome addition.:yes::yes:

Just ordered mine too... cant wait to get it... will post a couple pics once I receive it...:thumbup::thumbup:

Installation photos

IMG_0058.jpgIMG_0015 - Copy.jpg Have had a few emails asking to clarify the installation. Also, the round clamping bar in the left of the 1st photo does not have to be installed. It is only for the attachment of accessories in addition to the cup holder. Charles Faw, [email protected]

Tri Axis Handlebars

Want to reiterate that the mount Does Not fit the new tri axis handlebars. It's designed for the standard RT bars as shown in the photo below. I am looking into a mount that will fit Tri-Axis; will post it here when I come up with one.

Charles, Was wondering what you meant when you said, 25 sets of each color?

The mounts are anodized in either clear or black finish. I initially made 25 sets of mounts in each color to see if one would be largely preferred over the other. They've been selling about equally, so I'll keep making them in both colors.
