Where I live traffic calming methods (forcing traffic to slow down) includes pillow humps and my Spyder RT struggles to get over these mounds of bitumen in the roadway without scraping its front end, any reduction in the ground clearance of the RT would be sure to result in damage. A 4-wheeled vehicle can straddle the humps, which makes them less effective, a 3-wheeler with a narrow front end can't avoid running over them.![]()
A similar problem will be encountered by those who trailer their Spyder. The nose of my Spyder just barely scrapes right now when I load it. Can't really afford to give up any ground clearance in the front.
