• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

NEW RS BumpSkid tm NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE

Glad you had a couple GS/RS BumpSkids up at Spyderfest. Think yours will last a bit longer...

Did the factory skid have to come off before you put on the new one or did the factory skid come off because there wasn't much of a stock skid left? I'm asking because I installed the SpyderPops RT BumpSkid on my RT, but I didn't remove the factory skid. I don't remember reading in the installation directions to take off the factory skid, so I put the BumpSkid on over the top of the factory skid.

Factory skid is supposed to come off.

Thanks. I started at step 1 and didn't read the line above the steps. :banghead: Guess I'll be taking off the BumpSkid to get the factory skid off and then put the BumpSkid back on. I hope taking the factory skid off won't change the bolt hole locations that I drilled for the BumpSkid. :gaah:

In the FAQ Section on the SpyderPops Website is states :-

Do I need to remove the factory skid plate?

You don’t have to, however it increases the thickness on the back edge where it overlaps the frame. Two of the mounting holes for the factory skid plate where it connects to the nose plastic will be abandoned. The nose will now be fully supported by the new BumpSkid.

I have had mine fitted a couple of months, did not remove the Factory Skid Plate - No problems and belive it just gives extra protection with
increased thickness
