There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. New reverse trike coming to the USA

No competition with BRP

I don't see this bike as a competition for BRP. You could almost buy 3 RTL's for the price of one of those. Very few people will afford to buy one and BRP will still come out ahead. I wonder if it needs an alignment also??? :doorag:

If not competition. For those that shop for reverse trikes it will certainly highlite the bounce for the buck you get with a spyder?

They're real pretty... ;)
But the price is out of this World!!

The GoldWing Trike also looks as if it holds some promise!

Seems to me..!!

They are all trying to re-invent the wheel. What we have was so well done (please no comments about issues which they will have as well) that all efforts are to be better than..all they have accomplished is to be different than. Many are very cool looking and will have their following no doubt but very limited and many will find it not profitable and fade away...wish them the best but feel those that can afford these machines will not lower themselves to ryde with the best roadsters..the spyder...jmho every one praises us more..!!

The Gold Wing R18 Trike is a kit. Sturgis Motoren is located in The Netherlands. I have heard that there will be one of these at Daytona but I haven't seen it confirmed.

This will be very interesting to watch and see what happens. A big name manufacturer (BMW) is good if you are going to come up with a reverse trike. That will draw potential customers by itself.

:ani29:: Not a lot of advantage with motor configuration since they are talking about 1300 cc's. The top speed (140) is a little more than :spyder2: but I would never go that fast anyway.

:ani29:: I like the looks and the color. More RS than RT. As a dyed in the wool RT person, not for me.

:ani29:: Looked for the price on the web-site but could not find it. Others have mentioned 3 times an RTL or 4 times a basic, as well as $95K. At that price, it will not be for the usual :spyder2: owner. I have never owned a $95K anything (house excluded). It's way out of my league, and I have mentioned that at my age, the new 2014 will probably be my last major toy.

EDIT: Per Bob's link below. Price corrected and rounded to $90K. Still to pricey for me. :roflblack:

I guess I can sit back on this one and watch. :roflblack:

So well done that there is zero room for improvement? Hardly. Especially toward the RS end. I'd love to see BRP really push a great sport bike version. The RS-S is a good start...but it's time for some updates and that's me...an owner of exactly a month tomorrow..saying that. There isn't enough differentiation in the models. Competition would spur a lot of innovation in this space.

There will be one or two R18's at daytona....I think there are 2 dealers so far. One in florida and one in pa..

Thanks for that information!
A GoldWing trike sounds like a good turn of events... ;)

HIJACK:

No Gold Wing factory trikes yet--but--the latest issue of Rider (March 2014) debuts a new Honda CTX1300 cruiser with hard fairing and bags. Powered by a 1261 cc V4 engine. Looks like a mini F6B. Weighs in at 724 # and price is TBD.

Here is something way out for HD. They are introducing a new street 750 ($7,500) and a street 500 ($6,700). Available in black only. Coming with a Revolution X engine. 60 degree liquid cooled V-twin. 749 and 494 cc's. Seat height 25.4.

Its going to be an interesting year for new motorcycle intros. PS--there were a lot more--but I just threw in a couple teasers for interest.

I'm back...
This could be VERY interesting!
At this time, they're a bit heavy on the sizzle, and short on the steak though...
details will be coming!
