There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. :2thumbs: Well after ridding Barber Motor Sports track this past summer I got to doing what I call power sliding around curves and wore out my rear tire :opps:. after pricing labor costs :yikes: I decided to do it myself  I bought a new atv jack took less than 20mins. to pull rear tire off:yes: bought new tire and had it mounted an balanced for less than the BRP dealer wanted just for labor alone! while I had it down bought new rear brake pads. Now I'm waiting till after Christmas to put it back together. If everything goes to plan by 2nd week in Jan. I will be ready for warm days to ride. sometime around March Lamont is doing frontend alignment's close by planning on having my done then. Just had to brag a little sorry couldn't help myself :opps: will up date as things progress. Until then I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas an a wonderful new year. Thanks for your time PETE.

You've got to admit that sliding that back tire is kind of fun! I'm always a little sad after I put on a new rear tire. Takes some of the fun out of riding. :roflblack:

Congratulations on doing the job yourself that is really rewarding!

Replacing my rear tire

I would like to try to replace my rear tire but am not sure if it will be something I could do myself. I would like to know about how much is the cost to have it done at a shop, labor only?

Well..!!

with proper tool in hand and a shop manual to guide you it is not that hard. Mounting a new tire would require more equipment so any tire/bike shop can handle that part for you at a reasonable price...goid luck...!!

Replacing my rear tire

Thanks Chupaca for that information. Around how many miles should I be getting out of this stock tire? My spyder has 7951 happy miles on it and I notice my back tire is sliding a little, bought brand new and tread look good and I have not put any air in rear tire since I had it (2012 RTS SE5).

My shop in Winston-Salem NC charges an hour labor....around $90. I have them do it as my aging bod won't stand that kind of work any more, but you do get a proper belt tension done also. They don't fuss about what kind of tire you want installed or where you bought it.

I am sure you already have done this, remember to thoroughly check bearings and seals in your wheel while it is apart.
Good Luck

I put on a mirada rear tire this time.Has a more aggresive tread, more like an all season. This tire is made by yokohama and was reasonably priced, will see how long it lasts.Original tire lasted 12000 km falken 912 lasted 17000 km kumho lasted 20000 km will see how this tire does.To be fair the falken towed trailer the farthest.I remove the rear wheel myself and take it to the local tire shop, they charge me $10.00 for change over and I balance it myself.
