• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

CoOL tOOL

I was late to this, I was going to guess a sensor hooked up to a small cattle prod located in the seat , so when the oil got low , you would know:yikes:

Never would have guessed others were having diffeculty removing the oil cap.

Would be nice to have a cap with an oil level indication on top though. My biggest problem with the dipstick is the darn o-ring will not stay on the stick, it comes off every time I unscrew it and I have to put it back on. Poorly designed o-ring seal without a groove to hold the ring.

Anyway, fun thread and look forward to seeing what you come up with next.

Flip over the o-ring. Don't ask why this works.:dontknow:

new thingy

How about a check oil light based on mileage, say every 500 miles or what ever you consider best? Or even better, a counter that activates a light after 1200 shifts or some appropriate number. Easiest would probably be an hour meter that activates a light every 8 or 10 hours. Industrial engines often use the hour meter, I think that would be the easiest, maybe!! Or ......................

I just check it every day and don 't worry about it at all.
