NEW PRODUCT FROM F4 CUSTOMS INC. FOR THE F3 TOURING AND LIMITED

I just installed a vented 23" F4 windshield on my F3L last weekend. My wifes F3L we just bought her already had a 21" vented F4 installed on it. I just ordered a set of wings for her for Christmas. I may also get me a set later on. Ill have time to see how they do on hers and if that is something I want. With the Billy Club Bars, they will not affect the wind on my hands because my hands are higher up on the shield. I did ride right after I installed it last weekend and there was a misty rain. even though my hands were outside the shields edge, I still felt the shield was keeping them dry. I really liked it!

We have developed a set of air wings for the F3 Touring and Limited and fit onto the F4 Customs windshields.
Give us a call if you are interested. They work great!

I received mine yesterday and installed them without issue. Takes about 5 minutes. I had a question and emailed Don. He telephoned me about 5 minutes later with the answer to my question. Great looking wings, and better customer service.

If you don't have these on your bike, you should get them ASAP!

So Far The F4 windshield is the 5th shield I have had on my F3. It is by far the best to date.
1 Stock Painted is nice for the hot summer days .
2 BRP Tall Boy Looks nice but not very good.
3 Cal Scientific Epic fail!
4 Lamonster 19" Nice but too short for me.
5 23" Vented F4 tinted

Customer service from Don is A1! I had a problem with my shield and they will be sending me a complete new shield at no cost and I ordered the wings with them for a good price. I have another testimonial to add to this. I credit the F4 that I had on my GL1800 with saving my life. I had a left turner which was impossible to avoid, I actually hit the right corner of the vehicle meaning she pulled in front of me as I was already there! The F4 did not detach as would a stock shield, but it catapulted me to the right of the impact so that I did not fly forward into traffic. Thanks Don!

Look at the pics. The second one is through the F4 and you can see the trace of my helmet in an arc to the right.

Thanks for the feedback, AY. We don’t get extreme winters out here,so I had no issues with the F4 cutouts last winter, but I believe the wings will help in summer in the open position as I can direct the air stream onto my body for a little additional cooling.

We are so pleased you are OK. We often explain the difference between our polycarbonate shield and an acrylic shield but this is truly a testimonial to this. We are so glad you ok

Got mine in the mail and installed them in about 15 Minutes, they look great but it has been raining and cold so i won't get to try them out until next week

They just had a sale last month, sorry you missed it, I got my Shield at 10% off, and free shipping.

For those of you that wonder how these work, I just received this e-mail from one of our customers and thought this testimony would give you direct feedback from a rider.

Just wanted to drop a line about these new windshield wings... installation was a breeze (pun intended) as I prepped for my first ride in 30 degree temperatures. They worked fantastically as I didn’t need to wear snowmobile type gloves. Had to have the heated hand warmers on, however, I could wear my normal gloves . Very nice. This investment goes a long way in helping me get out, in any weather, to get some wind therapy. Thank you for another quality product.

Have a great holiday season.

I got my wifes air wings today and installed them. The only thing I did not like is it made my F4 shield look incomplete. Dang it now I have to buy another set. Is there a buy one get the second set at half price sale going on yet? LOL
really they look awesome! It gives her F3 a Darth Vader look.

I got my wings and they are fully assembled. But, there is no mounting hardware or directions/suggestions on how to identify the exact position of the holes to be drilled. The clearance of the wing over the mirror is very tight. That's a good thing unless the install is off by a slight amount. Did you guys receive the fastening hardware with your wings? Thanks.

I dont think it takes any hardware. Just remove the upper nuts and bolts and put the wings on the back side and put the nuts, bolts and plastic washers and caps back on.

As a complete accident, I just clicked on the install video for the 'wedgie' mirror shake cure...and noticed that that windshield has a right-angled bracket. It appears that would work just fine. As it is my shield attaches with just two, vertically aligned, bolts on each side which, have different spacing. Hmm, I want this to work!! These things will solve my biggest problem in cold weather riding.

Do you have an F4 shield. If it's an older model. You will need the new windshield mounting brackets like mine has. You will have to drill 2 holes after you mount new bracket. Call and request brackets.

They are 'on the way'. I am mainly relieved to learn that I am not a complete idiot! But, I do confess to being a partial idiot...
Thanks for the help.

There should be 4 brackets. 2 inside 2 outside. They should have stick on tape. Mine was already attached. After you line it up and stick on. You will need to drill the 4 upper holes thru windshield. The holes will be in the brackets so will be a good pilot. Your wings will mount on the inside of windshield.
