NEW PLASTIC SCREWS FOR BRP WINDSHIELD

Whats up with those plastic :cus: screws BRP wants you to use for the top two holes on the new windshield. One of mine losts it :yikes: as I was screwing it in. I just reused the original metal ones, I hope I don't ruin the shield.

Anybody else experience the same? :gaah:

I just used the metal ones, didn't see the point of plastic screws.

Probably a need to meet the DOT testing requirements. My theory is that they would allow thw bigger, stiffer shield to fold forward in a crash, whereas the stock shield was low enough not to hinder a rider that became a flyer. Just an uninformed theory, of course.

I personally use a sky hook. They aren't as restrictive. :joke:
