• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Owners and a question!

Questions

Hi all,

Been lurking here for a while and reading about the Spyders for a few years. My wife and I moved to Austin, Texas about 6 years ago and told ourselves since the kids were grown and on their own we would have a little fun.

So after doing some planning and prepping, we have finally bit the bullet and have become the proud new owners of 2 new 2011 Spyders. My wife got the Viper Red RT-SE5 and I have the Black & Magnesium RS-SE5. We are looking forward to a few road trips to see the children and the sites!

Anyways on to my question: I am looking at the Rear sport rack and was just curious if anyone could post a picture of the inside of this darned thing. I also can't tell from the catalog or website if it locks? And then they also list a Sport Rack Lid in the catalog, that really doesn't tell me what it is for. I haven't had a chance to talk to my dealer about it since purchase and thought someone here may be able to help out.

Thanks in advance.

Mitch

The Sport rack is bolted into place, requiring seat removal etc, while installing. the back rest is what locks in place. the sport rack lid is what is used , when the back rest is not, to cover the hole. Lid can be used for small luggage rack. Personal message me, and I can send you pictures later of the mounting instructions.
[email protected] :congrats: on the new:spyder2:
