• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Owner Tire pressure - what should I run in the stock rear?.

Just bought the wife a new 2022 f3T. I will say that back tire is a pain to check and I am fixing that issue by getting an extender to use while checking and filling. I am also going to buy the 3 wheel Fobo air pressure system. Without rolling the tire around and its hard to see with my eyes, what is the stock tire pressure for the rear tire? Thanks

Thanks, but it not on this model. I did read in the manual before asking my question on page 132 and says to look under the right service panel and its not there either. Ill just have my nephew come over later and help me look on tire wall with his better eyes.

Just be aware that the pressure shown on the tire sidewall is NOT the recommended pressure for a Spyder, it's the MAXIMUM PRESSURE for the tire IF & ONLY IF the tire is being subjected to carrying the MAXIMUM LOAD that's also shown on the sidewall! :lecturef_smilie:

There should be a Tire Placard somewhere on the Spyder itself, that shows the OE Spec Tire sizes and the recommended pressures for them, and THAT'S the 'one size fits most' pressure that you want to start out with in your OE Tires, adjusting up or down a little (maybe 2psi-ish? ) if necessary to suit your particular requirements/circumstances! ;) . On some/most(?) earlier model Spyders that came out with the rectangular swing arm (including F3T's & F3L's) the Tire Placard is usually found on the Left Hand Side (while sitting on the Spyder) Swing Arm just to the rear of the swing arm bush/pivot. On those F3's with tubular swing arms, IIRC I believe most had it under the LHS service panel below the handlebars. Hope that helps some... :dontknow:

Thanks! Well guess what?! On my model 2022 F3T, its located inside the frunk on the side of the tub. I went to install the battery tender and as I remove the frunk tub the rain gear and a towel was hiding it. The Manuel never mentioned it being there so I never saw that tire pressure label to begin with. in this case, reading the manual was a dead end.

Sounds like the sticker guy was off sick that day and his stand in put them wherever he wanted :roflblack: Not really funny. As QA in the vehicle industrie for many years I have seen that happen more than once.

Im sure that is going on in every industry.

Congratulations! She will love it! My significant other bought herself a 2021 F3L this time last year and has close to 9000 miles on it. She never rode any type of bike before. Please do take the above advice to read the owners manual and get acquainted with all the features of this bike. she'll be a better rider for it.

I have a 2018 F3T, and my sticker is in the frunk also. Anyway, I keep mine at 28 psi. I had read, somewhere, to run it at 24 psi, back when I bought it. Someone on this forum said that is way too low. ("dangerously") I've kept it at 28 psi for the past couple of years, and I'm happy with that pressure. Fronts at 20 psi. I have stock Kendas. Replace the rear tire at around 10,000 miles. I still have the stock fronts at around 15,000 miles.

In my opinion, with OEM Kendas or Kenda Kanines, I believe that the book suggests 28 rear and 20 in front. I run my rear tire at 28 and the fronts at 18. I have Kenda Kanine K20 all the way around. If the fronts are any higher than 19 then the bike is squirreley to me but that a subjective opinion. The much lower pressures you will see on this site refer to bikes with car tire alternatives. Those tires have much stronger sidewalls and are designed for heavier vehicles. The Kendas are designed for the lighter Spyder.
