• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hey there Spyder folks!

It's still winter up here in Canada, but Spring is not far off. I just bought my first Can Am Spyder - 2009 GS SE5 and I can't wait to ride!

She's all stock, accept for the hard saddle bags and the passenger back rest I had the dealer install. I rode a Harley, and a few other bikes prior, but when I jumped on a Spyder for the first time I was hooked!

Thought I should join the forums for a few reasons. a) I'll probably have a ton of really stupid questions, and b) Would love to take part in some local ride-alongs and spyder meetings this summer.

Glad that you found us!
Remember; There are no stupid questions...
But there ARE answers that need some more explaining!

:welcome: and :congrats: on your new :spyder:......................hope you can make it to Spyderfest the end of April to meet the gang!

Thanks Spyderpeople!

Wow I had no idea anyone even replied to my post. Sorry about that, folks! And thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

The only pic I have of my Spyder is the one displayed here, which is taken at the dealership (Riendeau Sport in Varennes, Qc). I haven't brought her home yet because we're still covered in snow up here. :(

2009spdr.jpg <----- I haven't named her yet (Yes, I name my vehicles)

I'll be snooping around here as often as I can, and I'd love to hear about rides and get-togethers.

Would have to disagree with that statement. As I told my kids - there is only one stupid question and that is the one you did not ask! - If you do not know- ASK!!

To Spyderdood - Congrats on your :f_spider::yes::yes::clap::clap:

Ask as many questions as you can so Bob and Snoopy can keep up with their post counts:roflblack:

Hey Spyderdood, welcome to SpyderLovers.

If you are looking for group rides in and around Boucherville (and Montreal in general), you should look at the site Le Club-Spyder. It seems to be a predominately french community of Spyder riders around Montreal.

Myself, I'm in eastern Ontario.

Salut Spyderdood, bienvenue a SpyderLovers.

Si tu recherche des randonnées en groupe a Boucherville (et la region de Montreal), tu devrais visité le site web Le Club-Spyder. Ce groupe surtout francais semble etre de la region de Montreal.

Moi, je suis de l'est ontarien.
