 We took the plunge and I have been lurking on the forum for tips. We are new to motorcycles, but long time Canam ATV riders. Our ATV ride is a 2010 800R Max. The spyder is taking some getting used to as I am used to responsiveness of my 800 Max and the fun opening up the throttle with the roar of the vtwin. The spyder is much more refined and even though the cornering is similar to an atv I am still finding it a bit awkward. Strange since I have been riding atvs pretty hard for 20 years.
Our youngest boy graduated this year and the spyder is our "empty nest" activity. As motorcycle Dave said when I ordered Sena headsets and the custom dongle cable, "Learn the word BOAT" Bring out another 1000" Seems to be the case with helmets, communications, and all sorts of other farkle!
Anyway, big thank you for all the tips from you experienced owners to set us greenhorns on the right path!
