• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A Facebook friend of mine had problems starting his Spyder. When he jumped it, he got an error regarding ABS. Here's what he posted on my FB page.
While trying To Start My CA Spyder(Again) I noticed a Message Scrolling On the Inst. Panel: Problem With ABS System( The ABS Light was On) It Seems The ECU will not let You Start Unless The ABS Is Working.

Can anyone offer some suggestions? :dontknow:

Faran,
I found this information. Maybe worth a try. I would also recommend that the individual take it to a dealer to have it looked at.

Found by accident to reset the system and clear the error message. This is what was done.

1. Turn the key to the on position (do not start the bike)
2. Apply pressure on the brake. (Yes the message was still there)
3. Turn the key to the off position. (Still applying pressure on the brake)
4. Before the Power shut off (within the 20 sec), turn the key to the on position. (The error message was gone).

Also have them check the levels of break fluid. From what I have been reading is you can get codes if the fluid is low.

:agree:
Not sure what caused this but that should get him going but I would still run by the dealer and have him check the brake system on BUDS.
