New Old guy - introducing myself and my 2015 F3S!

Hi folks, just thought I would introduce myself before I started asking questions. I am not new to bikes or even trikes and been riding for 63 years. Thought that as long as I can climb on I will keep riding, but I don't trust myself keeping a 2 wheeler up anymore. Thought I would try a Spyder and after lurking here and doing some research, I picked up a nice 2015 F3S. I have driven it only 200 yards so far and the first thing I learned is not to give it so much throttle on taking off! I hope to be riding around town and short trips. Thought I would start with a used one and if it doesn't work out I can sell it and probably break even. Really like the bike so far and it seems to fit me without adjusting anything. The only thing I don't care for is the custom exhaust, which makes it sound like an angry chain saw, especially upon start up. I will address that in my next post. Looking forward to interacting with you and riding as soon as the weather allows in Western New York State (think Erie Pennsylvania). Cheers, Chiefdan

Welcome to the Spyder Forum. I did see your other post about the muffler
being too loud.
Only have two tips.
1. Find the stock exhaust system.
2. Find a used Spyder parts source.

Congratulations! If I may offer some riding advice, first ride the trike around in parking lots to familiarize yourself with the unit. Once you've practiced and feel comfortable with the trike, get your 3-wheel endorsement if required.
