• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Welcome, I am also brand new to the Spyder and this forum. I traded my GL1800 and a V-Strom in on my new Limited. I am 58 but was just riding to hard on two wheels and thought I needed to find an alternative. I believe you will enjoy the people here...

:welcome: You going to have a great time riding your Spyder. Check out a Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) trike course. It's a great course to take to refine your riding skills on your new Spyder.

:congrats::agree::agree::agree: I took the GWRRA course on a VTX1300 conversion (Motor Trike), then on the Spyder RT. IMHO, The Spyder was a lot more fun. They do a quick stop as part of the course. They told me go park after the second try. I stopped a lot quicker the the trikes. ( I do not want BRP to get after me for calling Spyder a trike), lean back press the single pedal hard and stay there. ABS works very good.

Welcome Grandpa, (mine call me Poppy). You've found a wealth of information landing here in Spyderlovers. Great members and a very well run Forum.

Welcome new Grandpa. Ya done good with the Spyder. I won't be 80 until August, and figure I have another 25 years of riding. A buddy of mine asked "Lewis, when are you going to quit riding?" I said "When my sweet wife can no longer lift my leg on to BR1 and tuck tape my hands to the grips!"

I sold my 2007 Suzuki Bandit 1250 last year as no one in my "older group" could keep up and the San Antonio Sport Bike club ride too fast in those hills west of Boerne, TX.

If I make it to 90, that will give me 75 years of riding....yee haaaa
