• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

welcome and :congrats: on the new :spyder:. I too had a great christmas because my wife and I traded our 2008 Spyder GS for a 2010 RT Audio. I wanted to keep the GS for her, but she did not think she would ride it much.

Where in East Texas is your brother?

Hi Harddrive!

Hi, Harddrive! My older brother and only sibling is a member here (rcantrell52), he and my lovely sister-in-law live in Tyler, Texas. My husband and I are in a northern DFW suburb. Where do you live?

Your bike is amazing...I am looking for a 2010 or 2011 RTS semi automatic for my hubby, and my brother is looking for a demo/used 2010 RTS semi automatic as well.

This family is crawling with Spyder enthusiasts! :)

welcome and fellow Texan! :congrats: on the Spyder. You're gonna love it. And you'll love Spyderlovers.com as well. A lot of very helpful folks on here and a wealth of Spyder information.

Ah...I am more south east texas, about 80 miles northeast of Houston. If you are looking for a 2010 RT SE5, the guys over in Greenville had some right before christmas.

I love mine...and I was sold when I saw the silver... Mine is a SM5, but I don't mind the manual. Got an awesome deal because they had several 11s comming in and wanted to move it...

It is in the shop to get the leaking rear shock fixed...:gaah:

My older brother (user id: rcantrell52) introduced me to the Can Am Spyder (2010 RSS SE5 Limited) on Christmas day 2010. I have wanted a motorcycle since my teens but my parents would not allow me to buy one, and once I got married to my soulmate, he refused for 30 years. Until this year. I had just begun researching Harley's before Thanksgiving, and thinking about getting a sportster but it was love at first sight with my brother and sister-in-law's Can Am Spyder. The monday after Christmas I put a deposit on a new 2010 exactly like my brother's, and picked up "Spyder Sam" a few days ago. Will be taking classes this weekend, weather permitting, and hope to be mobile soon.

My husband and I live in the North Texas area, are empty nesters, and are excited about our newest hobby. I have already learned so much just by reading this forum every day since Christmas, and thank you all for your wealth of knowledge. Now, we want to get a 2nd one, most likely a 2010 RTS. :2thumbs:

Happy New Year, and I look forward to being a SpyderLovers member!
