New Member Introduction

My older brother (user id: rcantrell52) introduced me to the Can Am Spyder (2010 RSS SE5 Limited) on Christmas day 2010. I have wanted a motorcycle since my teens but my parents would not allow me to buy one, and once I got married to my soulmate, he refused for 30 years. Until this year. I had just begun researching Harley's before Thanksgiving, and thinking about getting a sportster but it was love at first sight with my brother and sister-in-law's Can Am Spyder. The monday after Christmas I put a deposit on a new 2010 exactly like my brother's, and picked up "Spyder Sam" a few days ago. Will be taking classes this weekend, weather permitting, and hope to be mobile soon.:yes:

My husband and I live in the North Texas area, are empty nesters, and are excited about our newest hobby. I have already learned so much just by reading this forum every day since Christmas, and thank you all for your wealth of knowledge. Now, we want to get a 2nd one, most likely a 2010 RTS. :2thumbs:

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I am enamored with my new Spyder (his name is "Sam"), and we want to buy a RTS for my husband now. I can tell this is going to be addictive, expensive but a rewarding hobby...particularly when it provides the opportunity to meet such wonderful and gracious individuals as each of you are.

We'll investigate joining you all in MO in April, and by all means if you are in the North Texas area and want to organize a ride, please include us. My brother is in East Texas, and we are in a northern DFW suburb.
