• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

:ohyea:Welcome from Billerica MA! I'm the proud owner of Smurfette, a 2010 RT-AC in orbital blue.Where are you in MA? I always love hearing about another ryder in MA! Have you heard of our Facebook group Girls On Spyders? We are a group of women who share a common passion for our Spyders. Whether we own one, ride as a co-pilot, or thinking about purchasing one, it is a great community of friends across the US, and the world! Please feel free to message me here on SL, or on Facebook under my name Elizabeth J Murphy, and I'll be happy to help you. If you're ever out and about and come across someone waving at you like a windmill while on a blue Spyder, it's probably me!!!:opps:

:welcome:and :congrats: on your new ride( new to you). 2 years ago I purchased a ( my first spyder ) 2012 RTS-SE5 Metallic Blue, then I this year in July I upgraded to a 2014RTS-SE6 Cognac. I am enjoying my 2nd spyder. Deanna

Newbie

Hi,
I am a real newbie. I never sat on a motorcycle until mid May. We bought our 2015 Spyder then. I really like it. However, we are planning a long trip and I hope I
can take a ride that long. I notice where you feel many more bumps than being in a car. I'm in my 50s, have arthritis, but overall doing well.

Late starter at 63.

Bought my first motorcycle 2010 Spyder RSS. I've had my learners for 15 years and rode my husbands Sportster. Hoping to go for my road test in a couple of weeks. Biggest hurdle is gauging the throttle. There seems to be nothing then all of a sudden...
Enjoying myself.

Hi Everyone,

My hubby and I are the proud owners of a new to us RT and we love it!

I'm learning so much about Spyders and they are so fun to ride.

Hi Spydergal. We are new to this too. We've had our Spyder for 3 months now. I had never even sat on a motorcycle until this. It's exciting.

Brand new owner of a 2016 RTS

Hi everybody.
Well my husband decided he was tired of saying I wanted one so he went and bought me a brand new one. Orbital blue. I really like it. He is a bit unsure as he is used to his two wheels and keeps thinking that way when driving it. I can't wait until our currently 3 feet of snow we are getting to go away so I can enjoy it more. If anyone has any hints or suggested upgrades feel free to message me. I am sure there are a few oh this would make sense ideas I haven't had a chance to read yet on this very full forum. I look forward to reading and riding more. Hopefully the photo I posted shows up correctly below.

Thanks,

Shauna

Good lookin

Fine looking ryde. As for tips and hints, the suggested maneuvers in the manual are actually a great way to get started on feeling more comfortable on the spyder.

Hello Ladies my first experience on 3 wheels

Just moved from many years on 2 wheels and now back issues I decided to move to a 2016 Spyder RTS. After only one day of riding I can tell I'm going to love it. I cant wait to see how the ladies have blinged their rides. Will be headed to Laughin River Run in a couple of weeks.

Just wanted to say hello from Southeastern Connecticut. The Monyafeek (2013 ST-S, purchased last fall) and I are enjoying the nice ryding weather here this week. I'm also happy to discover this great forum!

Welcome and happy Spydership (Spyder ownership) to you! :D

I had a 2010 RS-S until I traded it in less than 2 weeks ago (and now I really wish I had kept it!). The "nothing then all of a sudden..." doesn't sound right to me. Mine gave me "something" the second I twisted the throttle. Have you had it looked at, or ridden others of the same thing?
