There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pro & Con BigBike Travel Rack
Pro: It looks great! Design appears to have well thought out. Price is decent too!!!!!:bowdown:
Con: It will interfere with HMTs when loaded with cargo or riding gear. It will over a period of time develop hair line spider cracks around the mounting screws. You will over time begin to use thr bottom edge of the rack as a working handle which will speed up the destruction of the travel trunk lid.
What does a replacement lid cost????
Past experience with a Drag Specialites rack made for the 88 GW started showing flex cracks around the 2 year mark. Took it off and installed heavier rubber washers
and chrome body washers on the outside and galvanized on the inside. They were still there when we sold it in 1996.

Looks really nice, folks, but be careful. I had one similar on a GoldWing. Really liked it, but myself and others had a problem with cracks spreading from the drilled holes needed for installation. Then again, spider webbing on a Spyder might not look too bad!
I've had 3 trunk racks on other touring bikes, loaded them to the max, and did not have trouble with the trunk lids. Yamaha Venture, BMW K1200 & Honda GL. 2 of the racks were Kuryakin. Probably depends on how the rack attachment is designed and how thick the lid is.

I ordered one last week along with the bag they recommend; However, the rack is on back order. I also ordered the rear trunk bags but they are also on back order. They have great prices, I hope the quality is good.

This is the first rack that I would buy for my RT, and like my wing & K12, it will have larger washers to spread the weight from day one….
