• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Hindle after the recall update

Hi All

Had the update done to-day. It steers a little easier, runs lower RPMs and less power. I can run at 5500 RPMs in 4th gear at 65 MPH. So i don't need 5th gear. Still early i guess as i only put about 100 miles on it since the update.

Here is my question my Hindle arrived to-day:2thumbs: will i have any problems with it when i install it after the update or if i disconect the battery while i do the install will the computer relearn or learn the Hindle ?

Also any tips or pointers would be helpful.

Thanks in advance for your helpful replies.

I had the recall done about two weeks prior to putting the Hindle on. I have had no problems with the way the bike runs. The dealer installed it for me and did not disconnect the battery either. I love the sound of the Hindle.:2thumbs:

I also run a Hindle on my Spyder and the dealer did not disconnect my battery. I spoke to Carlos@ BRP last week and asked him the same question, he stated that you do not have to disconnect the battery. Hope that answers your question.

After your Hindle becomes seasoned, the sound gets richer...and it has a nice bark.:D
