OK been sigh up here for about a month. Wife and i want to trade in our goldwing for :spyder:RT s. the problem is we can't find a dealer that will let us ride two up for test ride. We will not buy one unless we both can ride on it to be sure thatys what we want.That alot of money to spend on bike your not going to like. We did that with the wing we've never been real please with it. Don't want another harley as we have two already. Alot of people are going the way of the can am RT ijust want to be sure we want one.Any advice would help with us thank you. were in our 60'es looking to tour alot now.

My dealer in Keokuk, IA had no issues at all test riding two up. What was the reason for not letting you both ride? :dontknow: Just take the demo Spyder out by yourself and pick up your wife at some convenient place.

yes you should go to spyder fest ,there will be more than 200 spyder oweners to ask all you want on how we like the spyder and as the other spyder brother said the folks at cow towen will take care of a test ride with your wife.so come on dowen to spyder towen.ill see you there.:2thumbs::thumbup:

I do not know where in KY, you are. Honda of Middletown ( about half way between Cincinniati and Dayton on I 75 or ASK motorsports in Columbus (Grove City) both in Ohio are two dealers, I have delt with.
I think I have seen both with 2up.
Spyderfeast in Cuba is a great idea, if you can make it. Maggie valley in June would be good too.

You ride the RT and see how you like it. Perhaps ask the dealer if one of his sales folks could take your wife on a ride....not exactly the same as with you, but she could get an idea of how she likes it....

I talked to two folks 58-68 in age when I saw them riding a spyder rt. both black and they both had wings and they loved the spyder, so having never ridden one, I ordered white 2011, plunked down a lot of money, so I know how you feel. I do know this, find a good dealer, one that has a good service department and will come off the list.
P.S. wife loves it over the wing 1800 and thank God for that, I could have been sleeping with the dogs LOL :shemademe_smilie:

That way you both can ride and buy it there to.:yes: Plus you can ask all of us what we think about our RS's and the RT's. We all had our doubts about them at first' . But after the test ride we where hooked, That's because we bought a new one in the crate site un seen with the trailer. to all I can say is:clap: :clap: :clap::firstplace: we owned Honda, Vilks, HD'es. CAM- AM :spyder2: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: JC.

I test rode an RS (GS at the time) at one dealer and an RT at another, both with my wife behind me. Neither had a problem with our testing it 2-up. One wanted to see my motorcycle endorsement, the other didn't ask to see anything. Like you, there's no way that I would have spent that kind of money without testing it the way I wanted to ride it. The RT is the best 2-up touring machine I've ever owned but we are all unique and it won't be the best for everyone. I think you are right to insist on a test ride and I recommend a fairly long ride, at least thirty minutes and longer if possible. Hunt another dealer if you have to.

I told my salesman that he had to sell the RT to my wife, not me. So, he insisted that we both ride it.

This obviously is a an issue that the dealer decides... Tell the guy that there are other dealers out there who are more than happy to let you both go on the test ryde... You just wanted to deal with him because....(insert your own line of bull here...)
