• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New gas cap

Good luck

Hope the new caps work for you all. Got ours weeks ago and now we have a strong smell of gasoline. Hang on to the old ones..

Thanx for the advice but rather than wear out my brand new gas cap I thought I would just wait until the ols one wore out.

Then I'll take Coz' advice and stick a rag in the hole until it becomes so fuel saturated that I will be able to use it to clean the oil slick from the bottom of my'63 VW.

:yikes: Sparks, Swap it out... We don't want to re-nickname you to "Flames!"

Got 2 gas caps in the mail Sat. The new one and the new one to replace the new one.

Actually I got a replacement gas cap for the '09 GS Must have me listed as the owner yet. will call Bibbens tomorrow and then take it out to him. Don't know it he sold the '09 or not. Boy I can't believe he hasn't, it was like new in every way.

Has anybody been watching for a Corporate Press Release...
"Company officials fro Bombardier Recreational Products announce a cessation in the production of their 2013Spyder line due to a shortage of fuel caps." :roflblack:

Ok, sorry, but I have to ask. What's the deal with the "gas caps"? I've not recieved anything from BRP related to any recall on the Spyders gas cap. :dontknow:

They're issuing new fuel caps for all Spyders due to reports of the seals...wearing out? and causing fires... They also made the part that you grab up on top of it a little larger so that it's easier to work with a glove on.

Brilliant

Great cost saving by BRP to send fuel caps direct to end user rather than have dealership install and verifi. I was not aware there is a problem with the cap. My RT has always smelled like fuel after riding.:dontknow:

Mine was already installed on the Spyder when I picked it up in May/2011.
:roflblack: :roflblack: :roflblack:
